This opening reception is your first look at the group exhibition Stepping Back, Looking Forward: Honoring Feminist Vision, organized by the Minnesota Chapter of the Women’s Caucus for Art and Minnesota Mean: The Students Take Measure, created by MCAD students in response to the Guerrilla Girls.

Following the reception is a special performance by GRRRL PRTY at 8:30 pm.

GRRRL PRTY is a celebration of femininity and unsheathed swagger featuring some of the most innovative voices in hip-hop this decade: spitfire poetess Sophia Eris, percussive hellion Manchita, and southern rapstress Lizzo. Award winning DJ Shannon Blowtorch makes the party spin. Music ends at 10 pm.
